You love your dog, but you didn’t think it would be this hard.
Real life gets messy! Your schedule is full, your dog has big feelings, your time is limited, and nothing you’ve tried seems to stick.
At Peak Pup Dog Training, I help you and your dog work better together through positive reinforcement training and practical coaching that fits your life.
You don’t have to figure it out alone. You just need a plan and a trainer who gets it.
Guiding paws to new peaks — one step at a time.
Meet Lesley
Hi, I’m Lesley — a positive reinforcement trainer based in the East Bay, and and someone who’s always believed dogs deserve to be treated with kindness and respect.
I came to professional dog training later in life, after spending over a decade raising puppies for Guide Dogs for the Blind. It took me longer than it should have to realize that my ideal work life looks a lot like this: helping people, working with dogs, and having it all feel like play — but with purpose.
I started volunteering with Guide Dogs in 2014, and I’m now raising my 10th GDB puppy. Since 2019, I’ve also served as the Club Leader for the Berkeley Puppy Raisers. In that role, I help shape the club culture, mentor other raisers, and guide the day-to-day journey of raising future guide dogs. What I love most is teaching people how to train with kindness, clarity, and confidence.
I'm also a graduate of The Academy for Dog Trainers, a rigorous program known for its science-based curriculum and high standards. I hold a Certificate in Training and Counseling, and I bring both academic knowledge and hands-on experience to every session. My goal is always the same: to help dogs and their humans communicate better, build trust, and enjoy life together.
